Tornadoes and Nuclear Disaster: JAPAN “ANOTHER DAY”

japan tornadoes
(a poem for tornado ravaged Japan and their challenge during the Fukushima nuclear crisis)
“Another Day”
my heart is
hanging on the hinges,
fearing on the fringes.
heartbeat
after
heartbeat.
waiting.
debating
the outcome of
run
or
stay.
come what may
leaves fall
and flowers bloom
for another day.
(a poem from the banquet of yolantha the new Maya Angelou, seasoned with Gwendolyn Brooks, bathed in Langston Hughes, peppered with Angela Davis, sprinkled with William Shakespeare, and rolled in Edgar Allen Poe)
Japan, I see you.
Love you madly,
yolantha
