This morning in America…I get to WASH LAST NIGHT’S DISHES!!! (I thank God I have dishes. During a feeding of 76 children at a mountain school in Pignon, Haiti, we had to eat in shifts because there were not enough metal bowls, there was no water to wash the bowls, the children just got up, left the bowls on the table and we refilled the bowls for the next group of children. There was ONE SPOON. I watched a group of children pass the spoon around eating one spoon full and then giving the spoon to the next child to do the same. Oh my friends…nobody knows the Haiti I’ve seen.
(feeding the world…one spoon at a time)
