SOME POOR SOUL (the environmental debate)

THE DEBATE
SOME POOR SOUL
let us hold
the battle fields.
let us not
underestimate
the Hail Mary
of last chances.
no trap is too deep to
fore-go well laid plans
when providence intervenes
the task at hand.
for the writings on the wall
will one day be read by all.
in the bush there will always be a ram
and
some poor soul
who gives a damn.
but will it be too late
to change man’s fate?
let us now
communicate
the debate.

(from the plate of dada ecARTlogist yolantha, the new Maya Angelou, seasoned with Gwendolyn Brooks, bathed in Langston Hughes, peppered with Angela Davis, sprinkled with Mother Teresa, embellished with Anne Sexton, seeped in William Shakespeare, rolled in Edgar Allen Poe.)
