I SEE MORE THAN PEOPLE or KISS, ME BABY, KISS ME!!!

CHRISTMAS IN APRIL (4)
I often marvel at my “liberal” friends who wholeheartedly and passionately assure me that they do not see color, they just see people. As well meaning as it sounds, I am always lead to wonder…then do they only see flowers and not the rose or lily or mum or carnation or dandelion? Do they only see cats and not lions and tigers and panthers and cheetahs? Do they only see horses and not zebras or mules? Do they only see hair and not blondes and brunettes and geri-curls and afros and braids and dred lochs and highlights? Do they only see states and not Alaska and Hawaii and New York and Texas and Kentucky and North Dakota or Montana? Then I wonder have they ever kissed a white man or a black man and felt the difference in their lips? It makes me wonder if they have ever danced with a muscular man compared to a full figured man compared to a thin man? I have… and I can wholeheartedly and passionately say that I TOTALLY ENJOY AND CELEBRATE the diversity in the kiss as well as in the dance. (MAMA JUST SAYIN’)… yolanthaism

(from the glorious buffet of yolantha, the new Maya Angelou, seasoned with Gwendolyn Brooks, bathed in Langston Hughes, peppered with Angela Davis, sprinkled with Mother Teresa, embellished with Anne Sexton, lathered in William Shakespeare, rolled in Edgar Allen Poe, anointed by the blood of Jesus)
